Ruby Therapeutics

Lindsey Mills, MSPAS, PA-C

Welcome!

I’m Lindsey, a dedicated and compassionate psychiatric provider, committed to providing high-quality mental health care. My approach is rooted in empathy, and I work collaboratively with patients to develop personalized strategies that cater to their specific needs. Driven by a passion for dismantling stigmas surrounding mental health, I strive to empower individuals to embrace their unique qualities while working together to improve their symptoms.

Throughout my career, I have attended to the mental health needs of patients in a variety of settings including outpatient treatment, community mental health, and inpatient psychiatric care and have developed clinical expertise in acute and chronic treatment of various psychiatric conditions.

I received my medical training at Mountain State University and practiced on the East Coast for many years before relocating to the Seattle area. In addition to practicing psychiatry, during my early career, I was fortunate enough to gain valuable clinical skills across a variety of specialties. Having considerable experience in general practice and sleep medicine enables me to provide patients with a more holistic approach to improving their mental health.  My goal is to collaborate with fellow members of patients' healthcare teams to ensure the comprehensive consideration of their physical health and well-being as an integral part of their overall care.

Having been diagnosed with ADHD myself, I have a unique and personal perspective on mental health and neurodivergence. I bring an intimate understanding of the specific challenges as well as the inherent strengths associated with neurodivergent brains. With a commitment to fostering a more supportive mental health environment, Ruby Therapeutics is designed to be especially inclusive to the needs of neurodivergent individuals. This includes creating a space that is not only welcoming but also understanding of the diverse ways in which people experience and navigate their mental health. Patients can expect a safe and judgment-free zone where their experiences are not only acknowledged but truly heard. I believe in the importance of fostering a sense of security within this practice, where individuals can find understanding, support, and encouragement on their mental health journey.

My extensive career in medicine has brought me a well-rounded, well studied scientific approach to care. Much more than that, it has provided me with invaluable exposure to human experience throughout the life cycle, spanning diverse ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. My goal with this practice is the opportunity to put more of that human aspect back into healthcare.

I welcome the opportunity to meet with you to see how I can help!

My Granny, Ruby, was a one of a kind, smart, spunky lady who never paid much attention to rules that didn't make sense! She was also one of the most compassionate women I have ever known. No one ever needed to knock on her front door. Everyone knew they were always welcome. Whether they looked like her, who they loved, or if they shared her beliefs didn't matter to her. She would help people any way she could. When she passed over, and folks were lined up to pay their respects, one phrase was heard over and over: "She treated everybody just the same".  She set a fine example for human kindness and that has always been my aim as well.
